Another Fever

Will woke up Saturday morning with yet another fever. Bill and him kept things low key and made it a pj day. Saturday night his fever spiked as high as 105.6. We spoke with the pediatrician and she had us alternate between Motrin and Tylenol every 3 hours and had us put him to bed in just a onesie. We were able to get his fever down but it spiked back up to 105 at 1am. We contemplated going to the ER but decided to just check on him constantly throughout the night. We went to the doctor first thing this morning and they did some bloodwork and are pretty sure it is viral. We have to make sure he is drinking enough and alternate the fever reducers as needed. Before his nap he was finally nonfebrile for the 1st time in over 36 hours. Unfortunately that did not last and by bedtime the fever was back. The poor little guy; thankfully he is still in pretty good spirits. Hopefully he can kick this pretty quickly, as it breaks our heart when he is burning up. If his fever is still there by mid- week, we have to take him back to the doctors.
