Swimming With "Uncle" Matt
Today Will got an extra special treat. We go to swimming lessons every Tuesday. But since I was out of commission (due to my urinary catheter), "Uncle" Matt came with us. He had the day off from work and was more than happy to go swimming with out little man. I am not sure which one of them had more fun, Will or "Uncle" Matt.

We Are Expanding!!!
Daddy's Response To The Fantastic News
We are elated to announce that Will is going to be a big brother in the beginning of October. I am 14 weeks along. I have also been blessed with the same condition I had with Will; an incarcerated uterus, which decided to make an appearance and stop me from being able to urinate yesterday while we were at Bill's 20th Anniversary Fraternity Formal weekend. We had to add a trip to the ER in Erie PA to get a urinary catheter put in to our list of festivities. According to my OB's office, they usually see a case of this a year. What are the odds that it would happen to me with both my pregnancies at 14 weeks? It is a small price to pay to have a baby, but it is a very uncomfortable, and hopefully transient, bump in the road. When we were leaving the ER, our wonderful nurse said she wanted to give us something that would remind us that this little "bump" in the road will all be worth it. She then handed us a newborn diaper to take home with us. I thought that was so sweet of her to do, and it almost brought tears to my eyes (those darn pregnancy hormones). I am happy to say that it seems the nausea has gone away, but I am still plagued with really bad migraines.
We had our first ultrasound on Thursday April 1. We found it very appropriate, since it was April Fools Day, to tell both sets of grandparents that we were having twins. We could have convinced both grandmas but the grandpas caught on to our ploy. Bill did make sure to verify with the ultrasound technician that there was only one baby, since twins run in my family. It was so great to see "Bean" for the first time. Will really enjoyed watching the ultrasound and kept saying, "Hi Baby Bean". At one point Will said, "Baby Bean come out". We had to remind him that it would be several more months before "Bean" would come out. We are due on October 11 and will have a scheduled c- section sometime the week before, provided I have no problems with pre- eclampsia this pregnancy.

Happy Easter!!
We had a pretty low key Easter this year. Bill came down with a really bad cold so he was under the weather for the Easter celebration. He lovingly passed his illness on to me by Monday. We got up in the morning and Will was really excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for him downstairs. Bill planned a scavenger hunt around the downstairs, and the prizes were Star Wars figures that Bill played with when he was little. The jackpot at the end of the scavenger hunt was Will's Easter Basket. Then we did an Easter Egg Hunt outside and had french toast for breakfast. We went to church and came home for lunch and nap. By the afternoon Bill felt really crappy, so he ended up staying home while Will and I met Grandma and Grandpa Zink and Great- Aunt Donna and Great- Uncle Bruce for a delicious Italian dinner.

On Saturday morning, Bill and Will headed over to Great- Aunt Donna and Great- Uncle Bruce's house for an Easter Egg Hunt; I had to work. Will had a great time searching the yard for all the hidden eggs. Grandma and Grandpa Zink were happy to help him find some of the more difficult ones.

On Friday afternoon, Bill's cousin Brian and his wife Rebecca and two daughters Claudia and Natalie came over. Claudia and Will had a great time playing together. The hit of the night was the bubble generator that they got Will for his birthday. Claudia and Will ran around the yard laughing and having a great time; unfortunately it had to be cut short because the adults were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. It was so great to see all of them and we look forward to the next time we can all hang out.

Will's 1st Dentist Appointment
Today I took Will to his first dentist appointment. This morning I was having him practice saying "Ahhh" and opening his mouth really wide. On the way to the dentist we were having contests who could say "Ahhh" the longest. At first I did not think we were going to get much accomplished at his appointment, since he was barely opening his mouth. But he eventually got the hang of it and let Anita, the hygienist, polish and even floss his teeth. He really enjoyed meeting "Mr. Tickles" and "Mr. Thirsty", the motorized brush and suction straw. He got a clean bill of health and does not have to go back for 6 months. While talking to the dentist, Will did decide to take 5 years off of all of our lives by flipping himself over the arm rest. Somehow my reflexes were fast enough that I was able to catch him right before he did a face plant into the brick floor. Other than that, everything went great, and Will got to leave with a new tooth brush and several prizes.

After Will's dentist appointment, we headed over to Will's friends Lucas and Leona's house for a Peanut Butter and Jelly Play Date. We started off doing peanut races, where the kids had to run with their peanuts on a spoon and put them in a bowl across the lawn. Will did it two times and then wanted to go and play on the swing set. There was a big leaf pile in the backyard which became Will's favorite place to hang out. It was such a gorgeous day and we are so glad we got to spend it outside with friends.

That afternoon once Bill got home, we decided to wash the cars. We started washing the Santa Fe and Will quickly decided he would rather be sprayed with the hose than help wash the cars. We were able to con him into helping a few times, but most of the time, one of us was spraying Will while the other was washing the car. We never ended up washing daddy's car, as Will was ready to venture to the backyard and play back there. What a gorgeous day! Hopefully spring is here to stay.

Will's 1st Hockey Game
Today we took Will to his first Amerks Hockey Game. We went with Daddy, "Uncle" Matt and "Aunt" Rebecca. We all had a great time. Daddy thought it would be great to sit right behind the glass so that Will could bang on it if he wanted to. Will was a little nervous the first time two players smashed into the glass right in front of us, but "Aunt" Rebecca said they were just stopping by to say hi. After that, anytime the players smashed into the glass near us, Will yelled hi. It was very cute. He really enjoyed all the food he got to eat; popcorn, french fries, and fruit punch. He was not too sure about the Moose mascot, but overall, he had a great time. We will have to make sure to go to some more games!!
