Visiting Jeff, Robyn, Rylie, and Avery in RI

This weekend Bill, Will, and I took a road trip to Rhode Island to visit Uncle Jeff, Aunt Robyn, Rylie, and Avery. Friday morning we took the kids to two local beaches. It was a nice sunny day but was pretty chilly down by the water.

Friday afternoon we hung out in the backyard and took the kids for a walk through the neighborhood. Saturday morning we went to the zoo and Saturday afternoon we went bowling. It was Will's first time bowling and he definitely showed his short attention span. He seemed to enjoy bowling with Bill for about half the game, but then he lost interest and I spent the rest of the time at the bowling alley keeping him out of trouble.

Sunflower Play Date

This morning Will and I went to a Sunflower Play Date. The hostess mom got everything ready so that the kids could plant their own sunflowers in a styrofoam cup to take home with them. Will really enjoyed digging in the dirt, and with a little help, planted 3 seeds. Then the kids played and got to enjoy a Sunflower Cupcake Cake that the hostess made. It was a gorgeous day and we all enjoyed spending the morning outside.

In the afternoon I took Will across the street to feed the geese. Will got to enjoy a popsicle while we watched the geese. They were not interested in the bread we had; Will got to enjoy it instead.

Fun At Gymboree

On Friday, I arranged for another play date at the local Gymboree. When we did it last year, Will was not walking yet, so I was sure he would enjoy it more this year. He had a great time running around like a maniac and playing with a lot of his friends.
