Today Grandma Wallace, Will, and I headed to Canandaigua Lake to spend the afternoon with Diane at her cottage. We ate an early lunch and then headed to the lake, hoping Will would get an hour nap in the car. We were not there for 5 minutes and he woke up; guess all he needed was a 30 minute cat nap, or else he just sensed water nearby and did not want to miss it. Once he got out of the car he immediately wanted to go swimming. We were barely able to keep him entertained long enough to get his sunscreen to set in, and off to the water we went. He had a great time playing with the rocks on shore and splashing. I tried to take him for a boat ride but he wanted nothing to do with the inflatable boat. Will even got to feed three resident ducks, who would basically eat the bread out of your hand. I eventually put his life jacket on, and to his dismay, the two of us went out for a swim. Once we got going he seemed to enjoy it, but clearly being on the shore was his favorite part. Thanks for having us DR; we really enjoyed it; Will did not want to leave.
