New Year's Eve

Uncle Jeff, Aunt Robyn, and cousins Rylie and Avery decided to come up for a few days to help celebrate New Years and Will's second birthday. Will took his first steps the day they left in August so none of them had seen him walking, other than on our web cam. It was so great watching the three of them chase each other around the house, play so nicely together, and give lots of cousin hugs. Will's favorite saying of the week was "Hi Wylie"; he would say hi to her ALL the time. It was so cute.

Wednesday night we celebrated our 4th Christmas with the gang. Will had a great time opening his presents, and loved getting help from his cousins. Everyone got some great gifts!!

New Years Eve was a lot of fun. New Years Eve morning we spent lounging around the house at Grandma and Grandpa Wallace's. After nap time we took the kids sledding. It was Will's first time sledding and he had a blast. There was not a lot of snow on the hill, but that did not make it any less enjoyable for the kids. The adults seemed to have a lot of fun too, until Aunt Robyn fell and injured her knee.

We decided to have our 2nd Annual Rockin New Years Eve Party. Grandma and Grandpa Wallace went out with friends, but we took over the house and had a party of our own. I got the kids a bunch of New Years Eve favors and we had a dance party. "Uncle" Matt and "Aunt" Rebecca came over too. We all had a great time ringing in the New Year together.

It was so great to spend a few days with Uncle Jeff, Aunt Robyn, Rylie, and Avery. We miss them so much already and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Merry Christmas

We had an excellent Christmas this year. Will did not get the memo that it was Christmas and not a work day, and woke us up at 5:50 am. We brought him into our bed and he watched Cars while we tried to get a few more minutes of sleep. Then we all got up and went downstairs to see what Santa had brought. We helped Will open his stocking. He received three Thomas the Train pieces from Santa in his stocking, and he was content stopping there. He went into the family room and played with his trains and did not care that there was a tree full of unopened presents in the other room. Once we were able to get him away from the train table, we had breakfast and then went back into the living room to open presents. We had a great morning!

Grandma and Grandpa Wallace headed over to our house around 10 am on Christmas morning. They called when they were nearby and daddy took Will upstairs to go potty. While they were upstairs, I helped Grandma and Grandpa bring in all the presents and bring the kitchen from Grandma and Grandpa up from the basement. Will was very surprised to see a whole new group of wrapped presents under the tree, and his new kitchen ready for him to play with. We had a great afternoon celebrating Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Wallace!
