Star Wars At The Museum

Today Will was in for a real treat. It was Star Wars weekend at the Children's Museum. We had been talking about it for weeks and he was so excited that the day finally came. All I can say is "Madness". We have never been to the museum when it has been so crowded. We had to park in a nearby parking garage and walk in the frigid air to get to the museum. But being a member came in handy, as we did not feel bad leaving after visiting with all the characters because we were not wasting any money. Will was in his glory, as was Bill.

Witney Rolls

Today Witney decided to roll over for the first time, and none of us were there to see it. Bill was at work and Will and I were in the bathroom brushing our teeth. I had put Witney down on the floor in her room so that I could help Will get ready for the day. While we were brushing our teeth Witney let out a blood curdling scream. I rushed into her room to find her on her tummy. She was having a major tantrum kicking her little legs. I immediately rolled her back onto her back. We think she scared herself so it will probably be awhile before she does it again. She has been rolling onto her side for the last month and a half or so, but has gotten stuck on her lower arm.

Mmmm... Sweet Potatoes

Today Witney got to taste sweet potatoes for the first time. She was not sure what to think of the sweet potatoes. We have been feeding her rice cereal for the past week and she has done really well with it. We were just feeding it to her at dinner time, so today we offered it to her at breakfast too. The sweet potatoes were her lunch, so she is now eating three meals a day plus breastfeeding 3- 4 times a day.

What Is This Stuff?

We went to Strong Children's Museum this afternoon. Curious George was the special for the weekend, so we thought Will would get a kick out of seeing him. In the past Will has gotten really nervous if he has seen characters up close. But today he walked right up to Curious George and said hi to him.

Last Nemos Class

Yesterday was Will's last Nemos swimming class for this session. We have him signed up to do it again next session; he is such a fish. Today they had the opportunity to swim on their rockets all by themselves, and Will just took off. I was so proud of him. Then they got to hold onto a giant circular kickboard. At the end of class they turned on all the water toys and the kids had a blast. Will can not wait for the next session to start!

Happy St. Patricks Day

Last Sunday we went to the Rochester Museum and Science Center to see the Dinosaur Exhibit. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Zink and Great- Aunt Donna and Great- Uncle Bruce. In the lobby there was a huge T- Rex that roared really loud. Will was very unsure of it at first, but by the time we left he was talking to it. He loved the dinosaur exhibit; his favorite was the dinosaur hatchlings. There was a lot of hands on activities that Will enjoyed doing. It was a great family outing.
