Witney's 1st Cold

Last week, Witney had her first cold. We ended up taking her to the doctor because she woke up with her eyes glued shut. She weighed 15 lb 4 oz. We were also interested in how her lungs sounded, since whenever Will gets a cold, it goes right to his chest. Her lungs were completely clear. It is so sad to see them get so congested, but she was a real trooper.

1st Nemos Swimming Class

Today Will had his first Nemo's swimming class, which is a 3 year old swimming class. The parents take their children to the entrance of the pool area, give them a kiss, and leave the pool deck. I was a little worried how Will would react to me not going to class with him, so we talked about it a lot before the actual class. One of his teachers, Ms. Majorie, he has had for his swimming teacher since he was 6 months old. And the other teacher, Ms. Tracy, he knows since she is one of the lifeguards. Will did amazing for his first swim class. He said goodbye to me and never looked back. I was so proud of how well he did, and he had a blast! It is also great because two of his friends, Benji and Arielle, are in class with him.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to assist in Will's classroom. The theme was playing in the snow. It was too cold outside for the kids to go out, so they played in the social hall instead. I really enjoy getting to go into the classroom once a month.

Animals In Motion

Today Will got to attend his first 3 year old class at the zoo. Instead of the class being about one animal the 3 year old classes are themed. Today's class was animals in motion. The kids learned about all the different ways that animals move around. The two animals they got to meet were Cadence the rabbit and Oliver the Tawny Owl. After class Will, Witney, and I did our normal walk around the zoo. It was a very cold day so we were really the only ones out and about. While visiting the sea lion and polar bear exhibit the zoo volunteer gave Will a plastic Christmas bulb and showed us how he could play with Puff. Will continued to play with Puff for about 20 minutes, laughing the whole time.

We have had a decent amount of snow this winter. Every time it snows Will has wanted to build a snowman. Unfortunately the snow has been super light and fluffy and has not been good packing snow. Since the weather has gotten warmer, that means great packing snow. Will finally got his snowman, who he named Frosty.

3 Months Old

Will's 3 Year Check Up

Will had his 3 year old check up today. He weighed in at 31 lbs and is 37 1/2 inches tall. He was extremely talkative with the pediatrician and was telling her his life story. He was very brave for the one vaccine that he needed to get. He received a clean bill of health!

Witney's Baptism

Witney was baptized today. The service was beautiful. Witney decided that she wanted to show off how social she is and made quite a bit of noise. It turns out she was just fighting sleep, as shortly after she was baptized she fell fast asleep. After the service we had an informal luncheon at our house. Then it was time to say goodbye to all of our out of town family. It was a very hectic several days but we enjoyed every minute of having my brothers and their families in town for all of the special festivities. We look forward to getting all the cousins together again soon!
