Today we went for a 34 week Ultrasound. With my history of pre- eclampsia when I was pregnant with Will, my doctor wanted me to go and make sure everything looked okay. The placenta looks nice and healthy and there seems to be an adequate amount of amniotic fluid. "Bean" was very uncooperative and kept it's feet up by it's forehead, so we were unable to see "Bean's" face. It was a little more difficult to see things since "Bean" is getting so big. The ultrasound estimated that "Bean" is 6 lbs 6 oz, which is 1 lb heavier than Will was born at 34 weeks. Hopefully "Bean" will wait at least 6 more weeks before making a grand entrance. We also found out that "Bean" is frank breech, so we may end up having to have another C-section.
We took our annual August trip to Pittsburgh this weekend. We go down there every year to visit with friends and for Bill's Fraternity Fantasy Football Draft. We always make sure to stop in Erie so that we can get a picture of Will with the Nitany Lion at Penn State Behrend, which is where Bill went to college. This year we got to meet the newest addition to the fraternity "family"; our friends Justin and Nicole have a 5 week old daughter Brenna. It was really cute to see Will interact with her and give her kisses. Hopefully he will be willing to do the same thing with "Bean". Will and I spent a few hours hanging out with our friend Jen and her two children Marissa and Logan while the guys were golfing. I ended up spending most of the weekend with my good high school friend Laura. We had a great time hanging out and catching up. We took Will to the Science Center to an Omnimax movie and walked along the river front. We all had a great time and really enjoyed seeing so many of our friends!

We decided to attempt a maternity photo shoot today. I am 33 1/2 weeks pregnant now and wanted to get some cute pictures of Will, me, and "Bean". Will was less than cooperative but here is what we got.

On Sunday we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Zink's house for a turkey dinner. We celebrated Daddy's and Great- Aunt Donna's birthdays and said goodbye to Great- Grandpa Povio, who headed back to Arizona until the holidays. It was a delicious dinner and, as usual, Will loved celebrating another Birthday. He is obsessed with Birthday Parties and says that it is Simba's birthday party every day.

Will really enjoys playing with his T- Ball set. We may have to sign him up for a league next summer.
Today we went for our 32 week doctor visit. Everything with "Bean" looks great. The heart rate continues to be strong and regular. Due to my history of severe pre-eclampsia with Will, my doctor recommended we get another ultrasound to check the size of "Bean", the health of the placenta, and the volume of amniotic fluid. An ultrasound is scheduled for Tuesday August 3. We go back to see the doctor in 2 weeks for my 34 week check- up.
Today Will and I took our annual trip to Syracuse. My good friend from college Julie and her family live in Syracuse, and our other good friend from college Ellee and her family live near Albany. At least once a year we try to meet in Syracuse, which is about half way between here and Albany. Our 3 children are all within 1 year of age of each other. We spent the morning at Julie's and a local playground and then we headed to campus and walked around showing the kids where we all went to school. We ate lunch and shopped on Marshall Street; just like old times. It was so great to see everyone and we all had a great time (except for my parking ticket). We hope to see them all again soon!
