Zoo Boo

We took Will to the local zoo a week and a half ago for their annual Zoo Boo. We also took Grandma and Grandpa Wallace, Grandma and Grandpa Zink, Great Aunt Donna and Great Uncle Bruce, and "Uncle" Thom. Everyone seemed to have a good time. The Zoo Boo is where children can dress up for Halloween and walk around the zoo and trick or treat. At the end you turn in your scavenger hunt and get a prize. Will was the only Yoda we saw, but we did see 3 Darth Vaders and 1 Storm Trooper.

Another Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Over the weekend we took Will to Powers Farm Market so that we could get some pumpkins to carve next weekend. We had such gorgeous weather here last weekend that we had to take advantage of it; it is not that often that we see 80 degree weather in the middle of October. Will was pretty indecisive about which pumpkins he wanted us to buy, so mommy and daddy had to make the final decision.

1st Experience With Table Food

Last night we offered Will his first table food. Since he still does not have any teeth we have been a little nervous to offer him anything other than pureed baby food. But our pediatrician reassured us that he can eat things just fine by "gumming" them. We gave him chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes. He seemed to do pretty good with it, although we are not sure how much he actually consumed, since there was quite a bit in his bib pocket. We ended up offering him some pureed baby food afterwards to make sure he had enough to eat. We may end up having to put the dogs away every time we feed him, since they will become "sharks" with his high chair just at their level. He was definitely due for a bath after this experience!

Bath Time Fun

One of Will's favorite times of the day is when we do splashes (AKA bath time). These days he does not seem to make it through a bath without getting mom and dad wet.

Last Water Babies

Last Thursday was our last session of Water Babies. Grandpa Wallace was able to join us and see how much fun we have had swimming. We definitely plan to sign up again once the winter sessions start; we hope to do it at least once a session, which will end up being about 3 times a year.

Look Who's Sitting Up

Will has been sitting for about 1 1/2 months now. He does not seem to have any interest in learning how to crawl, but he will sit and play/ watch us for a really long time. Here are a few video clips from a week or two ago.

9 Month Check Up

Today we took Will for his 9 month doctor appointment. He is 18 1/2 lbs now and 28 1/2 inches long. He had another clean bill of health. He did get his first flu vaccine today, which he seemed to tolerate pretty well. He will have to go back in 1 month for a flu vaccine booster and then, as long as he remains healthy, he does not have to go back to the doctor until his 12 month check up. He is getting so big...
