Trip to Buffalo Zoo
Grandma Wallace and I decided to take a little road trip with Will to the Buffalo Zoo. We are members of the local zoo and with the reciprocal program, you are able to get into other zoos for free. We decided to go check out the Buffalo Zoo and see what different types of animals we could see. They have a bear exhibit with several different types of bears and some gorillas. They also have giraffes, which Will has never seen before. The program said that there was a giraffe feeding time every day except for Thursday, so we did not get a chance to do that. Once we got to the giraffes there was a sign that said every day except Wednesdays, so it looks like we could have fed the giraffes if we checked it out earlier in the morning. We had a nice time, except for it being very hot out; it was a nice road trip.

I Finally Witnessed Will Crawling
While we were in Pittsburgh for the weekend, Will stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Wallace's house. Apparently he was crawling all over the place. When we got to their house Will was still taking a nap. I thought that it would be several days before I would actually get to see him crawling. As soon as he got up and was put down in the playroom, he immediately crawled. It was such a great site to see all our hard PT work paying off. He still prefers to butt scoot but every now and then, he will crawl a little and then go back to butt scooting.
More Cousin Time
Uncle Tom, Aunt Meghan, and Cousins Erin and Jeffrey headed up North for some family time. They started their trip off going to RI and then headed to Rochester for a week. It was great to see them for an extended period of time. We spent a lot of time at Wally World, their "home away from home", but also were out and about.

Splashin With The Cousins

One afternoon we spent over at our house. The children wanted to play the Wii and we wanted Jeffrey to see Will's train table.

Wednesday we decided to take the kids to Seabreeze, a local amusement park. I had not been there in probably 15-18 years. Needless to say, I went a little photo crazy. They all had a blast.
Thursday Bill and I headed to Pittsburgh for a wedding weekend. Will got to spend some extra quality time with his Aunt and Uncle and Cousins. They went to the zoo and one of the local playgrounds. Whenever it was time for Will to use the potty, Erin was always volunteering to read to him. Will really enjoyed spending time with his cousins and can't wait to see them again soon!

Making Progress
This afternoon Will hit another milestone. While I was at work Uncle Tom, Aunt Meghan, and Cousins Erin and Jeffrey arrived at Grandma and Grandpa Wallace's. After Bill got out of work he picked Will up and headed over to Wally World. All the kids were anxious to go swimming. While everyone was getting their bathing suits on Bill and Grandma Wallace saw Will crawl for the first time. I have been working with the physical therapist for 5 1/2 months to get Will to either crawl or walk. Today was the first time he decided to crawl. He has been getting on his hands and knees for a few months now but has never moved in the crawling position. Hopefully I will get to see him crawl soon.

Weekend Fun
Yesterday one of the local McDonald's had a children fun day. I had to work so I was not able to go but Bill, Will, Grandma Zink, and Great Aunt Donna went. There was lots of free samples along with a free sundae for the children. Will had a great time and he even got to meet Ronald McDonald himself.

Today we decided to take advantage of the decent weather and do a bunch of stuff outside. We went to Mendon Ponds in the morning to the beach area, where I used to swim a lot when I was little. I guess it is no longer a swimming beach but Will enjoyed playing in the wet sand. While we were there a group of horse back riders came through. Will was amused watching the horses wade in the water.

Later on we dediced to stop at a local park and walk the nature trail. Will really enjoys this trail because a lot of it is in the woods, so he has tons of trees to look at. At the very beginning of our walk, we came across this...

These deer were tiny and very domesicated. Will really enjoyed watching them move around us.
